Ok -- I haven't posted something in a while. I like to find stuff I find really worthy of a post.
If you have not been to Snopes.com, check it out. It is the best place on the web to find information about Urban Legends. They actually research the legends to see if they are true or not, and provide a history of how the legend came about.
Ever wonder if Mikey (from the Life Cereal commercials) really died from eating Pop Rocks in the 80's? This site will tell you! (He didn't...)
The best thing about this site is that it is up-to-date. Do you get those hard to believe emails that circulate?... such as:
* Bill Gates or AOL are going to pay you money to forward their emails...
* Pictures of one truck hoisting another truck out of the water, only to fall in itself and need a second lifter to get it out...
* The 20+ foot crocodile rumored to have been caught in New Orleans...
* The rumor that the Swiffer wet jet poses a risk to your dog/cat...
(By the way, these are all false or exaggerations of the truth)
Whenever someone sends me a hard to believe email, I always check out this site first to see if it is true or not. 95% of the the time they are fake... but every once in a while they are true (or partially true).
Check this site out today!
